Hurrah! I will have photos up shortly, but meanwhile, here are videotapes of two of her forms. (We filmed these in the back yard; sorry that the light is not ideal.)

This is her bo (stick fighting) form, which is called Discovery:

This is the form she did for a previous belt test, called Zang Du Moon:

I'm afraid it's a little choppy, but at least it will give you an idea!

Edited to add: Photos are here.

Oh, wow. That's really very good. I get the feeling she's made great strides in focus and power since the last time I...now I'm confusing myself. I might have gotten my previous impressions from still pictures, which are much more likely to not really tell what's going on for something like this. But it *might* have been a previous video you posted, that would be a better basis for such an opinion.

Hmm; anyway, she looks like she's entirely comfortable with Discovery.

I've only posted still photos up until now; this is the first video. Not ideal quality, but it gives you a much better idea.

Nicely done!

Fiona and D talked after Closing Ceremonies, and I should tap them to help with next year's assassination (which may come early, if [livejournal.com profile] lydy is right about her new hours...)

I had no idea a form had so many steps to it! How long does it take them to learn a complete form? Very impressive. And congratulations to her for passing! Black belt, here she comes!

It takes several months to master it. She will perform both those forms and, I think another one, when she tests for her black belt.

Kudos to Fiona for such an accomplishment -- her stick form looks very focused, like she could actually hold off someone trying to whup her with a bat.

And kudos to Mom, who struggles and gives up so much because she wants her daughters to have this kernel of accomplishment.

May there be good job news soon!
