Delia went out first thing this morning to wash her face with dew. I don't know if Fiona did, perhaps she did on the way to the bus stop. We were not sufficiently organized to get May baskets on neighbors' doors, sorry. Please accept this virtual May Day basket instead:

A Blessed Beltane to those of you who celebrate it.

We'll see you at the May Day parade this Sunday, yes? The parade is 1-3 p.m. and the ceremony at Powderhorn Park is at 3:30 p.m. And don't forget to bring some money to throw in the after-parade bucket brigade to support The Heart of the Beast Mask and Puppet Theater!

We didn't attend the workshops this spring and so won't be marching in the parade this year--too busy with karate, and I was frankly too distracted by (and depressed about) the layoff. But I intend to enjoy the parade this Sunday with the girls.

You will not only see me at the parade, you'll see me IN the parade. Molly asked to be in it this year, so I took her to the Saturday workshops, along with her best friend Emily. Molly and Emily are frogs. (Molly is an orange frog, so she should be easy to spot.) I am a water lily.

Happy May Day!

Happy May Day to you too! I remembered today as I worked in my garden for the first time this spring. What a nice day for it! The May Day parade sounds wonderful... see - you have broadened my horizons once again... we have a commitment later on in the evening, but maybe I can persuade my husband to go to the parade.

Pneumonia follow-up: Joram is feeling much better, he has been chattering on all day. Looks like health is returning to our household.

Have a great day!

Hurrah for returning health!

Oh, you definitely should go to the parade. It is an extremely kid-friendly event; my girls absolutely adore it. Take a look at my tagged entries here about the May Day Parade and ceremony that I've made over the years: you'll see some photographs, and last year I did a complete parade report and included several sound recordings of the ceremony in Powderhorn park which I posted, too. It has been a treasured family event for us for years.

I will probably go to May Day, but the odds of seeing me depend on how crowded it is... which is usually "very." ;-)
