A couple of quotations from Jane's big brother

Oh, I like these. I got them from the blog Jane Austen Quote of the Day (which I have syndicated as j_austen_quotes). They are by James Austen, Jane's older brother, from The Loiterer, a journal he edited and published while he was at Oxford. (It seems he considered himself the writer in the family, though his sister Jane would eventually outstrip him.)

and

"Of all chymical mixtures, ink is the most dangerous."
