Oh, I like these. I got them from the blog Jane Austen Quote of the Day (which I have syndicated as
j_austen_quotes). They are by James Austen, Jane's older brother, from The Loiterer, a journal he edited and published while he was at Oxford. (It seems he considered himself the writer in the family, though his sister Jane would eventually outstrip him.)
