I saw the surgeon yesterday and he has cleared me to go back to work. I'm going to try going back today, with the option of leaving part way through the day if I get too tired. Wish me luck.

Wow, back to work already! (It may not have seemed so fast to you.) I hope you're feeling good and your first day back goes well.

Good luck. I'm sure you don't need me to tell you to take it easy.

Seems like it's good to get back into doing things as soon as you reasonably can. But don't overdo it; bail when you're tired, and remember it'll take more energy to get home than you think.

Good luck, and I hope you don't try to stick it out if you start feeling tired (even if it's so early in the day that you're thinking, "but I just got here!" or so late in the day that you're thinking "ohhh, I might as well finish out the day...")

When I was 15, I had my appendix out on a Saturday, and was discharged from the hospital on Tuesday and had to travel (by plane, from Ohio to Madison) to get home. I went back to school on Thursday. And then the stupid school made me run all over creation (it was a HUGE school, four stories, and had no elevator) trying to track down the idiot gym teacher who had to sign off on my no-gym-for-a-month form. Thursday afternoon my mother called the school indignant and yelled at the Vice Principal and demanded that SOMEONE ELSE, not the 15-year-old recovering from abdominal surgery, do the literal legwork on this. It Got Handled.

It took me a while to fully bounce back from that appendectomy, and I was fifteen, not the old lady of 34 I am now. Let us know if you need someone to yell at the Vice Principal for you. ;-)

That's good news if you're feeling up to it and not pushing too hard. We all want you to heal perfectly.

Hope it's working out all right.

We sent you a present for convalescence, so you'll have something to do if you have a relapse.

Best of luck to you - my gall bladder was removed last Monday, and I went back to work yesterday - but I find that I run out of steam after 6 hours or so and have to have a rest. However, I'm getting better all the time, and you will too.

Take it easy, and be good to yourself. You've earned it. *huggles*

I highly recommend Cherry Garcia.
