It's Father's Day, and so it's Rob's day to enjoy and his itinerary to pick. You know what movie he wants us to go see this afternoon?

Nancy Drew.

This man is an exemplary father of daughters.

Haha, he truly is!!

You'll update us on it, if you go? I read the series when I was younger, but it seemed like the movie was...something else, masquerading as Nancy Drew. I hope I'm wrong. ;)

You mentioned Princess Diaries in a similar context a while ago. So I am partway through the first book and enjoying it, even though my daughter probably wouldn't like them.

Heh, and my husband wins in the toddler category. He put in and watch "boo coo" (Blue's Clues) with our almost 22 month old son today. I don't think I've ever seen B so excited as when he got to sit with Daay (Daddy) in our "thinking chair" (recliner).

Aww, what a good dad (even if I really did not like the movie promo. WHERE ARE BESS AND GEORGE?).

stayed behind in River Heights, while Nancy and her Dad go to Hollywood. Ned gets to drive the blue roadster out to California, so he gets more face time. The girls exist, but are offscreen most of the story, which was not unusual for many of the books.

We saw that while out in Boston (it rained one day) (and we were visiting the in-laws in New England suburbia, lest anyone think I chose a movie matinee over the aquarium or something). I thought it was a hoot, and endearingly true to the spirit of the books.
