Happy solstice, everybody! This is the day that Peg looks forward to every year: the most light! Hours of sunlight to help keep Peg happy and centered.
I try not to let myself contemplate too long the fact that it's all downhill from here.
malinaldarose has been griping about offices that keep the air conditioner too high. My firm does this, too, and it's irksome. But I have developed a solution: I have developed the happy habit of bringing a sarong to work every day. They are cheap, bright enough to lift the spirits, light enough that I don't feel smothered, but they really help to keep the air conditioner chill at bay.
I try not to let myself contemplate too long the fact that it's all downhill from here.

Date: 2007-06-21 07:39 pm (UTC)I (a non-udead type) made a point of walking around outside last night about 9:30pm. Not only was it still light (though fading), but there was a gorgeous lightening storm behind the clouds. Few lightening bolts but lots of back lighting and no rain!
I generally like the temperature cooler than most, so the AC would have to be awfully high to bug me. It's happened, but almost always I'm the last one to complain.
Happy Midsummer!
Date: 2007-06-21 08:41 pm (UTC)I do like summer. I just don't like extreme heat and humidity. Heat makes me sluggish and drowsy. 70 degrees with a slight breeze and lots of sunshine, with a lake rippling in the background, is Perfect Summer to me. Wish it could be like that year-round... but then I'd miss the turning of the seasons.
