I am going to resume taking karate.

Fiona has her first pre-screening for the black belt test tonight. There will be several of these over the next few months before she takes the actual exam. Wish her luck.

You know, I think that returning to karate is just what the doctor ordered -- as long as you exercise due caution in allowing your body to fully heal from your recent surgery. ;-) With all of the stress factors in your life right now, I'm hoping this will be a balancing factor for you. Not only will it provide a physical outlet, but it will give you a regular sense of accomplishment. (Along with sending in that Fantasy Matters proposal, which, of course, we are all waiting to hear about.) Instead of "I really want to do karate again," you will be DOING karate again -- and that always feels good, even on a lousy day, to know you are doing and not just wishing to do.

And, of course, massive waves of good luck to Fiona as she progresses toward her black belt!
