I don't know if you saw this when I posted it last month:

I've not been keeping up on the Harry Potter scene--I think I've only read a couple of the books--but my guess is that Harry dies, but I've got a wide interpretation of the word "die". I think maybe he loses his powers, becomes an adult, or a "normal"*.

The Maclean article is very well done (haven't read the other yet, though Maclean does quote King). I am firmly in the camp of believing that Harry will live, to the point that (not being bothered by spoilers) I will probably peek ahead. I'm sure I'll eventually read it even if he dies, but probably slowly and not immediately. However, the things I am sure of are that:
-- the conclusion will be satisfying
-- there will be a great and glorious victory over the forces of evil
-- it will come at the cost of great pain. Whoever dies, it will be someone we care very much about.
