I recently bought this dress at the Gap. ($20? How could I refuse?) I wore it once to the office but was a little uncomfortable: the neckline is rather low, and I kept hitching it up to keep my bra out of sight.





This morning I put on the dress again, but tucked into the V of the neckline a small square cloth cocktail napkin with lace edging that I inherited from my grandmother. It looks like a lace tucker, and now I am perfectly comfortable wearing the dress.

For some reason, this vastly amuses me.

Hee! I have invested in several camisoles for just this reason -- low-dipping necklines are flattering on me, but always make my bras play peek-a-boo. (The pic of me in the icon? I have a camisole under the shirt.)

I bought a very cute, retro-ish brown and blue dress from Target for about the same price, with the exact same problem. I do have a "holy crap, look at these boobs" bra to wear with it when I want that effect, but it limits my ability to, say, wear it to work. I've been pondering just putting a few stitches into it, but maybe it's better to try and find a matching camisole.
