Well, we're hosed
Jul. 11th, 2003 02:09 pmYou called it,
aome's husband and
mckitterick. They bled the air out of the system, and the clutch works now, but I don't think we can take the car to Florida because I had an oil change on the 2nd, and they checked the reservoir then and it was full. Which means there's a leak somewhere, and the best guess it's the seal to the slave cylinder. They can't repair it without taking the whole clutch out, which is a two day job.
I stopped at AAA during my lunch and arranged a car rental. $500.00. And no CD player, which means we can't listen to the books on CDs on the way down that we'd planned to keep us entertained. I'll beg, but the AAA agent didn't think they have CD players unless you go up to the premium rental rate, which would be even more expensive.
Damn, damn, damn.
