Here's the picture that she saw.

I hope Emma never loses that wholesome lovable quality she has.

Ah, yes, the Mail. The day the newsagent accidentally us a Mail instead of usual Guardian, my husband picked up the so-called newspaper gingerly at one corner, using only his fingertips, in fear that it bred contagion. ;)

My. He's grown up a bit, hasn't he?

Hee hee. He's certainly grown into a handsome young man, but it's hard for me to get too worked up over someone who looks like he could be my son. ;-)

Realizing that you are getting worked up by someone the age of your son is EXACTLY why it is called The Bad Place.

Ah.

But I didn't just mean "the same age as my son." I meant he looks like he could be my son. Not an exact replica, but similar in build and facial structure and expression. And that would be a Very Bad Place, indeed.

....I also went to a Bad Place on seeing that photo, but it was not a Good Bad Place, if you know what I mean. Oh dear.

My thoughts exactly ... and Harry Potter/Frodo slash would be boring, they'd be too polite, too focused on their own quests and might as well just use a mirror :-)

My goodness, he looks more like Elijah Wood every day, only buffer. And for some reason, he doesn't hit my Bad Place buttons. The fact that facial/chest hair is generally a turn-off for me probably has something to do with it.

My first thought was "That's kinda tasty." Pleasing, of course. But not quite my particular Thing or my personal Bad Place.

Then the character whose story I'm currently writing popped out for a look... and let's just say he has a HUGE thing for bright blue eyes. (And he's much closer to the right age for that not to be a bad place at all.) Now is when I get to really understand how much like having multiple personalities this writing gig can get.

Ah-ha, so that's the original! I saw that image on another site, and someone had cunningly replaced the image she was looking at with a slightly more unsavory image.

Curse this computer magic.
