Delia is going back to karate!

Delia has decided that when the school year starts she'd like to pick up karate again.

I had suspected that if we would just allow her to take a little bit of a break, she would eventually be willing to go back, her spirit refreshed and enthusiasm renewed. I had already told her that if she ever felt like she was ready to go back, of course I would step aside and she could resume her lessons.








This is excellent news. She's so good at it.













Really, it's totally excellent. Awesome.

You know, I'm inclined to take the long view. What going back for two months has shown me is that, yeah, I really do want to do this. I know that the time the girls will be with me is so short--good heavens, Fiona will be in college in four short years. But I'll have a lifetime to study karate.

When Rob finds a job, we will probably try to look at ways to make it possible for me to study, too.
