To my dojo: Don't expect me to show up for class tonight.
To my family: Don't expect me to cook dinner tonight. Fix yourself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or something. I plan to go to bed as soon as I get home.
In fact, if you're really wise, you'll have a bowl of hot pho soup waiting for me.

when you miss classes at the dojo, considering you are fortunate enough to have been awarded a scholarship, is there any penalty?
If my kid misses daycare or dance class or swimming class... no matter the reason... it just doesn't matter. We always have to pay.
