I can't speak for kiwiria, but right after reading the book I was mildly curious about the tidbits in her very first interviews - but only because some of them were more interesting than the things she did put into the dreadful epilogue. And since, I've grown less interested week by week. If anything, this one is considerably more interesting than anything she's said since the week after the release of Deathly Hallows, because it's the first thing she's brought up that is actually reflected within the text, if very circumspectly, and is therefore relevant to the text.

(I'm in the camp that says, this is a great step, I'm glad she had it in mind all along, and it influenced how she wrote the character. Next time write an overtly gay character.)
