Ooo, shiny!
Jan. 22nd, 2008 12:09 pmThe girls have their new 80 GB iPods.
They are very happy.
I have a new larger 160GB iPod (my old one was a 30 GB).
I am very happy, too.

Date: 2008-01-22 06:21 pm (UTC)I got my first portable-music-player ever three months ago (a 4GB iPod nano). I love it. But it is full. And the person I'd been planning to hand it down to when I was ready for a bigger one was so impressed by my gushing about it that she bought one herself already. I guess I need to re-organize my playlists more often.
Another neat gadget is a headphone-splitter cable, so that two people can plug into one iPod and share music on the bus or wherever. Our camp kids used those a lot.

Date: 2008-01-22 07:09 pm (UTC)I have an 8G and a 30G player, and I've decided that even the 8G is plenty. Even a 160 wouldn't hold all my music, so all I really need is enough for a week's listening or so. I resync at least once a week to load up new podcasts and swap music out anyway.
I'm not an Apple dude either. I really need an FM radio; I listen to it about 1/4 of the time at least (NPR). I'm continually baffled as to why Apple doesn't put an FM radio in the iPods; I bet the chip to do it would cost about 50 cents. All I can figure is that they want to sell it for $50 instead of $5.
Ah well, variety is the spice of life. Competition is good.
