A radio program worth catching, a book worth reading

Today on Minnesota Public Radio's Midmorning show (91.1 FM) during the 10:00 a.m. hour, the host Katherine Lanpher will be interviewing Bruce Schneier, author of Beyond Fear: Thinking Sensibly About Security in an Uncertain World. I read this book in manuscript, and I highly recommend it. It is written for laypersons, and it helps you to sort out the truth from the hype about security, how it works, and how to evaluate whether security systems are worth the money and inconvenience. Bruce is very articulate and interesting, and listening to the program would be well worth your time. For those of you not in the Twin Cities area, you can listen to the program later on the web. At any rate, I urge you to pick up the book.
