Latest belt test

With Rob's help, I finally got the phone camera downloaded. Here are some pictures from Fiona's last karate belt test (she earned her brown stripe). (Note: she took the test at a different school than our usual one, so this is not our regular sensei.)

Actually, she took the test at a different school than the one that we take lessons at (our school's testing date didn't work for us) so these are not our usual senseis.

I'm jealous and impressed by how beautifully she turns her standing foot while kicking. I just can't seem to get that 180 degree turn right, and it shows in my balance. Congratulations to her!

But I'm suprised to see that she keeps her hair loose - doesn't it get in her way? I always have to tie mine back into a ponytail when I'm at the studio (in Tang Su Do we don't call it a dojo).
