An oddly unsettling birthday

I read on theonering_net that Hugo Weaving turns forty-eight today.

Elrond is supposed to about 6,000 years old at the time of The Lord of the Rings. Now I find he's . . . less than a month older than me. From almost 6,000 years to less than a month . . . it is amusing how this has deeply unsettled my world view somehow.

I'm having trouble with this, too. But I have to add that we look younger, anyway. ;)

Not to rub it in, but you're actually older than him. But yes, I agree, we definitely look younger.
