This video filmed and performed by The Weasel King is of one of his best songs, "They Can't Catch Us All." You can download this song for free at The Weasel King's Myspace page if you have a MySpace account, here, or you can get a lot of his other music for free at his website here.
The song is based on that moment in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when the DA has been discovered by Umbridge in the Room of Requirement, and Harry turns to them and yells, "What are you waiting for? Run!" As Wizrocklopedia puts it, if this song doesn't get you moving and bobbing your head, then nothing will. The Weasel King has a particularly professional sound (okay, in my admittedly amateur opinion, but tell me if you agree.) I particularly like his use of the chimes.
As always, for my curiosity, let me know if you listen and like.
Lyrics
the door opens and it closes again
quiet falls -- it's just the drop of a pin
tell me
tell me what'd you come here for
secret's out
we're not safe anymore
heart races 'bout a million a minute
you wanted trouble baby
now we're in it
we've got blank stares from everyone
what are you waiting for
run
don't look behind you
don't let 'em find you
run
even if i trip and fall
they can't catch us all
there's is a traitor among us
someone who we can't trust
i guess it doesn't matter now how they found us out
we've got bigger problems to worry about
oh yes
this is a mess that we've gotten in
how can we cover up where we've been
there's not a place that we're safe here under the sun
what are you waiting for
run
don't look behind you
don't let 'em find you
run
even if i trip and fall
they can't catch us all
run
just run
why can't you understand
i can't learn if i can't hold it in my hand
my lungs are burning
my lungs are burning now
that's why we'll
run
don't look behind you
don't let 'em find you
run
even if i trip and fall
they can't catch us all

Date: 2008-04-10 02:31 pm (UTC)Which reminds me - I never gave you a review of the Christmas at Hogwarts CD you put together for me. I loved it! I have to pull it out to see particular track names, but I was particularly fond of anything with a humorous bent, like the one where Draco only wants one thing for Christmas - for Voldemort to get rid of Harry. Also the rendition of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" - had me howling. :D There were lots of others, too, but those are the ones which stand out right now in my memory.
