You may remember my earlier post where I pointed to the blog of a young father coping with a brand new baby girl in the midst of his grief (his wife Liz died unexpectedly of a blood clot the day after their daughter Madeline was born). I have set up a syndicated feed to his blog: mattlogelin.

Madeline just turned five weeks old and is getting cuter every day.

We can set up syndicated feeds ourselves, to any blog we choose? I tried to add a friend's blogspot blog to my friends list, assuming that somehow a mechanism was in place for it to automatically translate into syndicating to LJ, and came up with a message that no feed existed, so I gave up. ;-)

Scary thing is, I used to work in IT, but like most people in IT, I was narrowly specialized. And this was back when the Internet was just getting off the ground, so I'm hopelessly backwards when it comes to the latest Web technologies.

Anyway, I'd like to know how I can do this. (Quick instructions or a link to the relevant page in LJ's byzantine help section.) I have several blogs I read that would be nice to feed to my f-list. Thanks.
