I calculated out the calories about a month after I got the recipe from you. It's not exactly health food, is it? *grin*

Also, bear in mind that you could cut all quantities in half very easily, make it in a coffee mug, and it would be under 300 calories. A much less "OMG WHAT DID I DO TO MY DIET?" sort of indulgent treat. Everyone needs indulgent treats in their life. There are days that simply require them. Days when it's so cold your glasses freeze to your face when you go outside, for example.

And if you made them in coffee mugs, you could make *2*, and still come in under 600 calories! ;) 8)

Well, I tried a half recipe in a coffee mug tonight, because I had a hankering for something chocolate but wasn't sure I wanted a whole bowlful.

I discovered when it boiled over that I really needed to put it on 80% power instead of full power. The boiling over cost me probably half the sauce, and the net result was rather unsatisfying; the sauce is the best part. Once I'd put it on 80% power it finished up fine, so I made a note to myself on the recipe. Although next time I will probably make myself a full bowl. I don't make it very often.

And the monounsaturated fat! Your LDL will take a nosedive, and your HDL will go up! s:)

And the potassium! The sodium is pretty reasonable, and for all those calories that is not a gigantic amount of fat neither.

Bah, I still cook this on a semi-regular basis. I half the recipe though; can't eat that much chocolate!

Hey, I just made warm chocolate pudding in the microwave last night, and I have seen references to other people making single servings of it. Maybe you could give it a try? It's so chocolaty, warm, and tasty.

If you eat 1/4 of this recipe using skim milk, it comes out to
Calories 178.7
Total Fat 1.2 g
Saturated Fat 0.7 g
Polyunsaturated Fat 0.0 g
Monounsaturated Fat 0.4 g
Cholesterol 2.5 mg

You can use 1-2% milk or stir in semisweet/dark chocolate chips or sprinkle on shaved dark chocolate if you have room to splurge a little. :)
