It didn't even occur to me that it might not be appropriate. I was so surprised to see someone else who has revere ware that the surprise won out.

Everyone seems to like all-clad and all that super heavy stuff, but I still prefer my revere ware :).

We have Revere Ware saucepans in three sizes, kettles in two sizes, and skillets in four sizes!

I have Revere Ware thanks to an uncle who gave me a set when I moved into my first apartment. It hasn't given me any reason to want to replace it in the interveneing two decades.

In fact I really wish I could buy another set - I live in Taiwan in a furnished apartment (but one that doesn't provide pans or dishes). Having spent last year in a furnished apartment in the Netherlands that *did* provide those, we didn't bring our pots along, and I haven't found any sets for that quality at a reasonable price. (Ikea has reasonable things - wish I'd realized that before spending too much elsewhere.)
