I'm quite happy with how many of today's pictures turned out:

Isn't that gorgeous? Heck, it was so pretty, I had to take another picture:

I was so happy with this set of pictures that I posted more of them at my Flickr account. You can see more there of the Guthrie Window washers and the atrium glass art, which turned out really well.

I also re-did that photo I attempted yesterday, showing the corridor at work, and it turned out much better this time.

ooooh

nice art glass (drool)

I hope to someday (how soon, not sure, since I'm currently unemployed) I want to have a glass bead studio in the garage. I aspire to small works, that will allow me to buy BIG works.

Mom did figure this out a few years ago (or one of my spice clued her in) and every Christmas since, she's gotten me a nice work of art glass. I just need to find one those half-round glass enclosed hutches, until I have a safe place they're all wrapped and in a solid crate. I've got young cats, unprotected art glass is too much in danger.

Thanks for the photos!

I like the mopping the dojo shot. It seems to say something more personal to you than most of today's shots.

Peg, I'm so enjoying this week in the life thing! And I love the angled photos too -- really interesting style. Thanks!

Nice use of the pedestrian sign to contrast with the window washers (and the color, too). You seem to be really getting along well with slant angles too, which is nice.

I'm surprised at the tile floor in the dojo -- all of ours were carpeted.

The ... is it still called a dojo? ... where my girls just started taking Tae Kwon Do has those lock-together giant foam mats. Uh - like this. The different colored stripes make it easy for students to line up in class.

Actually, it's firm matting.

Ah. Looked like standard vinyl tile, with the lighting and remaining dampness.

The glass is stunning!

Also, can I just say how impressed I am at how bike-friendly your region is? Special bike racks on the rail (the DC Metro allows bikes, but doesn't have racks for them), covered bike parking at work, beautiful bike trails.... Wish our area had that! It's hard to even FIND a bike rack anywhere.

Minneapolis, I think, is the second-best city in the country, in terms of the percentage of workers who do bicycle commuting. It's a great biking town!

Echoing aome, your bicycle facilities are better than we have in the SF Bay Area, where bicycling is practically a religion.

Your ride looks lovely -- a paved path and flat! I would guess that at some points you're dodging cars, but what you've showed is so much nicer than the route I ride to work, and mine is pretty good for California roads.
