Thank you for posting where you found your handkerchiefs! You did it in an earlier post. I'm going to try some too, especially for beside my bed, and right next to my computer. Guess I'll have to hit up Kohl's now. Was that in the men's department?

Yes, the men's department. The brand is Dockers. They had them on sale, buy one package of nine, get the second 1/2 off.

That's very good of you. ::sigh:: The biggest step I've been able to get myself to make is to start buying recycled toilet paper and paper towels. My allergies are too bad for me to want to give up my puffs with lotion. You'll have to report how the hankies work, those might be a decent exchange (better than recycled tissues anyway).

I use handkerchiefs as well, but I've gotten mine over the years at estate sales, which had been mentioned in the earlier post. I've found that if you wash them in the machine, it's a good idea to put them in a pillowcase or something. Otherwise, they may get lost. A repair man showed me how most top load washers have space at the top of the tub, and small items can go over and down the drain. This is also what can happen to socks. Look at your washing machine and see if there's a gap at the top.
