The store was a madhouse; didn't get out until 1:15 a.m. We have all day tickets to go to Valleyfair tomorrow, the local very good amusement park. I have mixed feelings; Valleyfair is fun, but it's supposed to be OMG 95 degrees (at least there are water rides). Staying up all night to read may be wise, but how can I not? And I won't have time to finish.

Not sure how this will work. I may write reactions through the night; I will put spoilers under separate cut tags, denoted by page numbers.

I have gotten to page 9 and have already laughed out loud several times.

Have fun reading, all.

Oh . . . and by the way, I have disabled anonymous posting, for the time being, but will turn them on again when I've finished the book.

It's so late and I'm so tired and hot. I am going to bed. The book is swimming along nicely; I just want to be in a fit state to enjoy it.

Damn this weather.

More later. some initial reaction; cut in case it's spoilerish ) (This wasn't the speediest finish on my friends list, no doubt, but I did spend 9 1/2 hours at Valleyfair today, too.)

[Note: caution if you click on the comments here, they contain spoilers, too.
