pegkerr: (No spoilers)
July 21, 2007. [livejournal.com profile] heidi8 has opined that she sorta wanted another year to be able to discuss and theorize before finally finding out what happens, but I think her fears are groundless. It is not like Tolkien fans have run out of things to talk about, and the good ladies over at pemberley.com are still posting 24/7 about Jane Austen's books.

No, we won't run out of things to talk about. Even after reading the last word.
pegkerr: (Family)
Okay, the office space is not-so-nice, but the hotel certainly is. The firm is paying for us to have privileges at the concierge suite, and I've enjoyed the breakfasts I've had there. The food has been good: in fact, my biggest problem has been to NOT overeat. I am able to get away for walks, even though not over "my" bridge at home. I even get to see my family every day, through the magic of webcam. The overtime pay will certainly be welcome.

Still, it will be good to get back home. They seem to have survived the week thus far without me right there to hector them as usual (true, Rob forgot to get the Girl Scout cookie orders in on time, but that just means the cookies will simply delivered at a later date).

I wonder how much of a disaster the house will be when I get home. And I wonder if the girls have eaten anything for dinner this week other than pasta. I have very carefully Not Asked.

I feel as though my mind is sluggish, though, as if it is simply drifting along without much to engage it. I'm here from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 or 10:00 p.m. each day. I feel as though I am collapsing into being the most boring person imaginable. Running the copier and printing that many e-mails for that long every day will do that to you.

You still love me, don't you, friends list? Even if my brain is turning into absolute mush?

I'm still craving sushi, dammit.
