More playing in Seattle
Apr. 15th, 2007 12:22 pmWe had dinner last night at
jeanineers and
woadwarrior's lovely home, and
weaselmom and
smirkingone joined us.
corwynofamber joined us after dinner was over. I was sorry that
prncsmoonbeam and
stroppy_baggage couldn't join us too, but they unfortunately had other previous plans. Much joking and laughter over the table and afterwards when we convened out in the living room. It was wonderful to meet for the first time these people who have been on my friends list for quite awhile.
Today, we drove to Hot Dish (oatmeal served over lemon curd? Who knew? But delicious!) and then went to work off all those carbohydrates with another hour at the the gym. As Kij warned me, the second day is always tougher, and my arm strength gave out much more quickly. I still managed a couple of VB routes--the first took me two attempts and the second four or five. I was frustrated by my limitations; I would have liked to have climbed longer.
We are now home and duly showered and therefore less likely to horrify passersby. After a pot of silver assam tea, we will probably mosey on down to the Ballard Farmer's Market.
