Everything except slash fits me. I have "Reflections on a Gift of Watermelon Pickle" on my read pile right now.

You were my most interesting friend when I ran this. I was a little surprised by how many listed interests we had in common. I was expecting some of the IRL friends on my FL to show up as most interesting, but it was all people I friended because they make me laugh and jealous at the same time.

Oh, fascinating. I don't have "reading" as an interest. I mean, would I put "breathing" as an interest? Really.

*Laughs* I would have cats as an interest, but alas, as you know, I'm allergic!

Me too, for the same reason.

The things my friends are interested in that I'm not seem to be Diana Wynne Jones and Neil Gaiman -- well, I already knew that!

I suppose I really ought to concede that I am interested in fantasy...

I've never read Diana Wynne Jones (must Google to find out Why).

Neil Gaiman is my current comfort read (although the dark dreams that Neil writes really can't be considered comfortable)...I'll eat up anything and everything he writes.

Mr. Elliot never said a truer thing!

I'm probably being presumptuous, but...

I saw these images online, and immediately thought you might find them inspiring.

This was an installation by glass artist Chihuly, called 'Joslyn Ice'. It was featured in the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, NE in 2000. . . . My mind keeps wanting to title the one picture "Children on the Half-Block". . . like fish, you know?

And speaking of fish, I don't know where this image came from -- a friend mailed it to me. But I immediately thought, "That's the fish! The one that was frozen into the iceblock! This is what happened, when it thawed out." Since I never would have had such a thought without reading your inspiring bits here, I felt honour-bound to offer the idea to you first.

Oh, how beautiful! And I love the photograph. I could make it a dream that Solveig has, I think. Thanks for sending them my way.
