Some of those weren't so bad. Some really were, though.
I'm probably not the best judge. I keep my office at work in such an anal-retentive state of organization that my Post-Its are kept in order according to size. I'm way more relaxed at home, but our desk in the Nerd Lair is usually pretty neat.
I mean, I fully respect the right to have a messy desk. Mine isn't a paragon or anything, and as long as one can work through the clutter, that's fine.
But personally, there's no way I'd be able to get anything done in those rooms? I'd have to flee them in order to write.
I would not, could not, at that desk I would not, could not, in that mess I would not, could not, 'midst the cans I wouldn't know where to put my hands...
(Yes, I know I stinketh mightly at poetry. Couldn't even write it if Mission Organization redid my office.)
I agree - some of those desks weren't messy at all. Two minutes would clean it all up. But some others were really, really bad. I look at my desk, and I am somewhere in the middle. Cluttered and messy, but not full of old food, bottles, cans, or cups. (Just one, thank you. LOL)
I'm sad that I qualify, though, and I think you might have just inspired me to attempt to clean it up a bit.
Many of those looked positively *empty* to me. But they got better further in. (Slideshow doesn't work, just sits there, but I know Gallery so I was able to find my way to the actual album.)
