Chattanooga wasn't as interesting when we lived there for ten years. Of course we left just before the downtown was transformed by the aquarium. I recall when there was a vocational high school in the downtown and at least one city council member had a fit over the proposal to build condominiums in the downtown. He claimed that there was enough low rent housing in the area (Condo-minimum - minimum - low rent). Someone just have told him what the word really meant as he was happy to endorse them a few days later.

Is it still big news when a mocking bird attacks people near the court house? I saw a piece on Chattanooga on the Food network and didn't recognize the place.

We came from Northern New York and 1980's Tennessee was quite a change.
