I read your post, looked up at my clock, and found it was exactly 9:00.
I had a dream while I was in college, once, that I climbed a tall tower in my dormitory - and while my dormitory was very gothic in its architecture, this tower did not in fact exist - and found Tolkein as a very old man living in a cozy, book-lined, warm round room at the top. He gave me tea and we talked, and I was filled with overwhelming relief to discover that someone so sane and wise and kind and older lived there with us.
