had a day JUST like that. Only a few sleeps ago. Know how it feels. Can't do much to actually help matters, but [hugs] and [virtual chamomile] and sleep on it - hope things improve tomorrow.
Awww, that's the pits, Peg. I handle most things with humor and when in the midst of such a day (I had one yesterday too) I have been heard to murmur "Ma said there'd be days like this, but so many?" Hope all next week goes really great for you. You deserve the very best. Hugs, Chocolate and Bunny slippers are wished for you!
I suppose it doesn't do much good to say that at least you all survived to try again tomorrow (er, today), and had a safe place to sleep off all that frustration. Anyway - I hope today is MUCH MUCH better. *more hugs*
Ever since I typed this out, I've felt it was a completely unhelpful and probably annoying thing to say, and I just wanted to apologize. Especially since I just had one of those "nothing goes right" days, myself. Karma, I suppose.
Anyway - forget the misguided "trying to fix everything and look on the bright side" gunk up there. Truly, all I just wanted to do was give you a hug and be supportive, but I don't know when to shut up. Like now, I suspect. :-P
I hope your weekend goes much, much better than your Friday did.
Take a look outside. No, not at the car, not at all the chores that need to be done. Look up. Is your sky that clear winter blue? Or, if you wander outside this evening, are the stars strung across the sky? I look to the sky when life sucks. If it really sucks, I look at the bees and listen to them grumble as they work. The grass decked out with dew or frozen into bent swords that are yet to become plowshares.

Date: 2006-01-21 04:02 am (UTC)I had a pretty crapful day, but not as bad as yours sounds.
I hope something small and perfect happens between now and when you fall asleep, and that tomorrow is better.

A virtual hug from far-off California.
