Whether one is eating enough fruits and vegetables

The balance of the checkbook

Whether a passing comment one has posted (which one thought was a totally innocent remark) was truly offensive enough to merit someone else snarking about it (in a general way) in somebody else's journal

The two pounds that puts one in the "overweight" as opposed to "normal" category

The lurking suspicion that one is boring to all those around

The way that one's children roll their eyes when one is speaking

The way that one's children roll their eyes when one is speaking

It's my understanding that this is universal.

(And I totally need to eat more fruits and vegetables.)

Yeah, I was going to say that 99% of parents of kids 10-18 (approx.) get the eye-rolling.

Be not uneasy about those two pounds. That is merely the weight that represents the admiration of your friends. No getting rid of that!

(But, yeah, you should totally eat more fruits and vegetables.)

This is much more clever than my response, which was going to be an earnest comment that the scientific evidence seems to suggest that they have screwed up where the cutoff should be, as being at the lower end of "normal" seems to come with some significant health risks, while being in the just-a-bit-over-normal range of "overweight" seems to be less risky to your health than being a "normal" weight. (When all risks are evaluated, that is. Being slightly overweight can raise your risk of diabetes, but it lowers your risk of osteoperosis. Even if you're at elevated risk for Type II diabetes, though, 2 pounds is almost certainly not worth fretting over even slightly.)

And you should eat more fruits and vegetables because they're YUMMY.

I think I must go find a good picture of a broccoli in order to make a "Yummy!" icon....

I'm surprised that my kids' eyes haven't rolled right out of their sockets yet. ;)

I still roll my eyes at my mom - a lot. Nowadays, she just rolls her eyes at me, as well, when I am being more obtuse than usual. And it bothers me more than it does her. So don't worry, you'll get back at your kids one day ;-)

Whether one is eating enough fruits and vegetables

The other day, when my sister and grey-hair boytoy, were down in Fargo, we wandered through a grocery store, and she noticed a coupl'a shelves of fiber drink stuff. She rolled her eyes, and said, "Why don't these people just try eating an apple??

If I may be a datapoint, not so.

The way that one's children roll their eyes when one is speaking

I'll speak for that being a universal, though come to think of it much of what my father says still makes me roll my eyes so I get this one from both ends.

I'm trying to parse the words "truly offensive" and "Peg Kerr". I'm haivng some trouble with this.

Fruits & Veggies: Yum!

The lurking suspicion that one is boring to all those around

I think we all suspect this once in a while. In your case, I would think just looking at your online life (I cannot speak to your real life, but it sounds busy enough to be far from boring), and the number of people who have "friended" you suggest that this is not so.
