This sounds like something I would care about a whole lot, but I got up this morning as per usual, read the day's *Star Tribune* also as per usual, and came into work. So this is the first I've heard of India's tragedy. Can someone send me to the nearest and best link, so I know what's going on? Thanks.

When playing catch-up (as I so often do about news stories), I find news.google.com to be an excellent place to look. If it's not one of their top stories, a search nearly always turns it up.
