You know how it is when you are busily typing away at your day job because that’s how you earn your living and its after lunch and you are sooooo sleepy and you find that the volume on the dicctashun macheene startz to waiver and yr fngrsz stert 2 fooumble and yr head srtz 2 . . . . SNAP up and you keep trying to type because this is yr job and u are a teem player but yr i-lids strt to drooooooop & the dictashun m’chine drooonneees on and on and on and on & on&on&on&on&on and yr hd drooooooops and SNAPS up and you drinks some coffee and get up and stretch and try walking around your desk, and you get a cold glass of water and dip your fingerz in it and dabble the COLD water on your neck and sit down and try to start typing and the dictashun mchine drones on and on and on and on and on and onnnnnnnnnnzzzzzzzzzzzz

This is happening to me.

This is why we need to live in a country that believes in the value of naps.

Though I cannot feel your pain in the work zone, I often want to crash midafternoon during classes. Unfortunately, that is when they all got scheduled...

I found your livejournal by accident, and I want to say that it has lead me to a whole bunch of interesting possibilities from reading your journal for about a week now. Luckily I live in a country that does believe in the siesta. Granted, I'm not supposed to nap at work, but a lot of people invariably end up nodding off and that's basically okay, especially if it's a government office.

I think valuing-naps is more common in hot climates.
