Cannot cope. Off to Mordor
Feb. 7th, 2007 11:15 amIt is -8 F, but nevertheless, I am going out for my usual midmorning walk across the Stone Arch Bridge. I have used the cold as an excuse to not exercise the past two days, but the inactivity is making me cranky. So--off to the bridge.
Boots, coat, hat, gloves, scarf, Polartec vest, sunglasses, iPod.
Yes, I am insane.

Date: 2007-02-07 05:33 pm (UTC)Unless the wind picks up, I'm planning to go skating this evening. Of course, it will probably be above zero by then.

Date: 2007-02-07 07:31 pm (UTC)(I routinely wear a polartec fleece jacket under my coat if it's really cold, and layering works, just like they told me in Girl Scouts. This was also handy when I volunteered at Seward on Monday as Molly's classroom was positively frigid -- apparently something had gone wrong with the heat over the weekend. I'm not sure if it was the whole school or just Molly's class, but I was definitely more comfortable with my jacket on.)
