Follow up on an earlier post (re: Emma Watson's Boobs)

thomtoffner helpfully provides an explanation of what actually happened with that IMAX Order of the Phoenix poster. Emma Watson was NOT enhanced photographically. Instead, the two different pieces of artwork were taken from two slightly different camera angles; the shot was filmed with two different angles as part of the 3-D process. See his explanation here. I find his reasoning persuasive.

So: no nefarious sexist reasons, folks, just camera/3-D technology. Thanks, thomtoffner!

You know I thought maybe it was at a different angle from looking at her face in the two photos. though honestly enhacing pictures doesn't bother me, I think it's imporatnt for young people to know they do this and this isn't how these poeple always look but beyond that I just don't care.

I'm still confused ... Are those shots of the actors actually taken from the film or are they promotional pictures taken with a camera?

I think what he means is that they took promotion shots using the three-D process, which is actually two cameras. But since they only need 2-D to make the poster, for one of the posters, they chose to use the image from one of the cameras, and for the other, they chose the image from the other.

exactly. I really do suspect that there is in fact a 3-D poster, either in theaters now, or eventually. Hopefully someone will spot one so we can settle this once and for all.
