[livejournal.com profile] thomtoffner helpfully provides an explanation of what actually happened with that IMAX Order of the Phoenix poster. Emma Watson was NOT enhanced photographically. Instead, the two different pieces of artwork were taken from two slightly different camera angles; the shot was filmed with two different angles as part of the 3-D process. See his explanation here. I find his reasoning persuasive.

So: no nefarious sexist reasons, folks, just camera/3-D technology. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] thomtoffner!

exactly. I really do suspect that there is in fact a 3-D poster, either in theaters now, or eventually. Hopefully someone will spot one so we can settle this once and for all.
