We got advanced tickets and went to see Neil Gaiman and Charles Vess' Stardust last night. Great cast, fun movie. Comic, exciting, romantic. We were all delighted with it and the girls said that they'll want to own a copy when it comes out in DVD. I recommend that you see it. It opens August 10.

I had NO IDEA it was coming out next week. No clue at all. I was on IMDB and saw something about Clare Danes (who I really like) so I pulled it up to read what she was up to and went "Stardust? Oh surely not...." And YEP! There it was.
Multiple headdesks followed.
So...does it equal the book? Because I absolutely loved the book.

And I can't tell by the trailer but at the beginning and through a good part of the book, Yvaine really hates him.
I'm looking forward to this!
