Upgrading iTunes

I have iTunes version 7.1.1. I understand that they are up to 7.3.2. I am interested in upgrading because I want to be able to download the DRM-free versions of song, but I've heard that people can have troubles with synching their iPods with the later version, so I am hesitant to do so. Comments, anyone? Is there anything I should do before I upgrade?

Hey Peg, I know I upgraded not too long ago. I don't know if it was to 7.3.2 though. I check when I get home and see if my ipod synchs. I'll let you know if everything goes alright, if you feel like waiting until this afternoon, unless someone else knows more. :)

I haven't had any problems syncing with 7.3.2.

I would recommend making backups of your "iTunes Library" and "iTunes Music Library.xml" files, just in case; that way if there are problems you won't lose your play counts/ratings/etc.
