but I have to recommend this. Short, but entirely worth it. It's all about the heart of flesh vs. the heart of stone. And the title is from Dickens, which warms me to it even more. I'll be friending this person on strength of this fic alone.

The Hero of His Own Life by cesario. A condensed biography of Albus Dumbledore, and a wonderful character study.

I have stumbled upon some excellent fan fiction writers over the years. Two of them I invited to submit something original to one of my anthologies and the result has been extremely satisfying as I bought both stories.

...Although I am starting to find my way in the LJ world. I figured out how to post pictures in a post, how to accidently delete comments, how to watch a community and then how to filter all the posts that they make (gardeners are very prolific!)...
