I sat down tonight and wrote about 250 words. I think little of them, and may not show them to anyone, perhaps even Kij, but I still thought the occasion was noteworthy since these were the first words I've written in the ice palace book since May.

Keep telling me that, Jo, because believe me, those 250 words really sucked. I have to keep telling myself at this point, my job isn't to evaluate those words; it's just to get them down.

Congratulations. And you're absolutely right: The point is to just get the words WRITTEN. Good, bad, or ugly, just get them down. Editing comes later.
