Cell phone, dammit
Apr. 11th, 2008 08:44 amWell, the good news is that I got the new battery that was overnight shipped to me, and I put it in the phone and charged it.
The bad news is that after four hours of charging, the phone is still deader than a doornail. It's not the battery, it's the phone.
So now I have to wait still longer for them to ship the new phone to us.
I hope I can get them to eat that prior express delivery charge.

Date: 2008-04-11 02:11 pm (UTC)Of course, my phone could be inoperative for a month and I might not notice. It's an odd month for me if I use more than about 5 minutes of airtime. We have essentially no service at home, and at work I have a work phone and nobody cares how much I use it.
They tried to buy me a Blackberry at work, it took a while to convince them that A) Nextel service doesn't exist at my house, and B) my entire life is spent at work where I have a computer and a phone and the BB is pointless, at home where I have a computer and a phone and the thing won't work, or going between the two. They couldn't understand that someone exists who never goes out to lunch, doesn't go shopping for a few hours at a time at lunch, doesn't go out to dinner, doesn't go to movies, etc.
