For those of you with too much time on your hands and who have not yet experienced the delights of [livejournal.com profile] nocturne_alley, this post at their fan community, [livejournal.com profile] nraged, gives the order of the posts to read. It'll take awhile for you to read it all: the game ran for several years, from February 2002 until June, 2004. If you want to do it right, read the posts and ALL the comments.

Have fun, and don't snorffle too much coffee up your nose from laughing too hard.

(Click on the "nocturne alley" tag if you want to read my earlier entries about my involvement with the game). Oh, and if you read nothing else, get an idea of the quality of the the roleplayers in that game by reading this, which was the time that the player who wrote Severus Snape was interviewed by [livejournal.com profile] nraged. It. Is. Absolutely. Hilarious.

*Sob* So [livejournal.com profile] nocturne_alley is over. What will we do without it?

I originally wasn't going to do this. Then I decided, what the hell. Then I got cold feet again. Now I'm back to blurting it out. So here I go before I change my mind again.

Why yes, I, too, have a Nocturne Alley secret. Don't look behind the cut tag unless you're willing to have your lovely illusions totally shattered. )

I've mentioned the Harry Potter role-playing game Nocturne Alley [livejournal.com profile] nocturne_alley occasionally before. Nocturne Alley has its own fan community, [livejournal.com profile] nraged. Several of the Nocturne Alley players have popped up on the NRaged board to answer fan questions there in the last week, and the one who plays Snape ([livejournal.com profile] potions_master) has been having particular fun furiously insulting his questioners here, like the unapologetic misanthrope he is. An absolute hoot. Also worth a look are Lucius Malfoy ([livejournal.com profile] purestblood), Arthur Weasley ([livejournal.com profile] wehaveseven), Narcissa Malfoy ([livejournal.com profile] blondenarcissa) and Remus Lupin ([livejournal.com profile] lupercus). More will probably follow. But Snape's is so far the funniest. (Warning: not entirely work-safe, as some of the questions are very impertinent).

I just have to say that I think that the posts from [livejournal.com profile] nocturne_alley about Sirius Black and Remus Lupin's wedding and the train wreck of a wedding reception when George, Fred and Ron accidentally spiked the punch bowl with Veritaserum were both hysterically funny and heartstoppingly wonderful.

And I am SO PROUD that one of the (many) people that Sirius Black was forced to admit that he slept with was Sean Donnelly, one of my characters from The Wild Swans. (Stands up and cheers!)

That is all.
