(Mostly) Good news on the computer
Apr. 9th, 2008 12:42 pmRob took it in today to the Apple store where his old manager works. Turns out it wasn't the logic board as we feared, but the power supply. They're giving him a deal, not charging him for labor. So it'll be less than a hundred dollars and I should have my computer back tonight. Hurray! We may even be able to do our taxes on time.

Now if I could just get the damn scanner to work.

My lunch from a few days ago

Homemade pretzel, kiwi, the last of the quinoa timbales (recipe here), pumpkin and cottage cheese (with dusting of cinnamon, to be mixed together) and endamame.

This video filmed and performed by The Weasel King is of one of his best songs, "They Can't Catch Us All." You can download this song for free at The Weasel King's Myspace page if you have a MySpace account, here, or you can get a lot of his other music for free at his website here.
The song is based on that moment in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix when the DA has been discovered by Umbridge in the Room of Requirement, and Harry turns to them and yells, "What are you waiting for? Run!" As Wizrocklopedia puts it, if this song doesn't get you moving and bobbing your head, then nothing will. The Weasel King has a particularly professional sound (okay, in my admittedly amateur opinion, but tell me if you agree.) I particularly like his use of the chimes.
