Shall mention as a Torontonian lurker-- anyone who lives in a city with a sizable Italian population has a de facto interest in who wins the World Cup, because if Italy wins sections of the city become impassable by vehicles for three days or more.

Here in Boston the North End is always impassable, so nobody will notice the difference.
